Just be ready to block... lots of blocking.  Might block through musical numbers but should be pretty simple.

There is a Back to the 50's Festival in town and we're putting up a booth to promote the show.  We have also been offered a 15 minute slot to perform...

The Milk Building has Very few props so I'm reaching out to the cast...

If you have anything that you don't mind being ruined (not saying it WILL but don't bring in treasured items) Please bring it in and we'll start a collection.  If you want to attempt to make a prop in your spare time that is great too.  This is all volunteer/donation and greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Follies Auditions

The Lebanon Follies will be holding auditions at The Milk Building this Saturday (August 20th) from 10:00 - 4:00.  This year they are doing Fractured Fairytales.  Here is more information: 

Adult and Children cast members are needed, or sign up to be a part of our fabulous tech and stage crews.

(Children ages 6- Middle School will need to do a vocal audition.  Some children may be asked to read.  Adult cast members who wish to have a role will need to prepare a vocal audition [Sheet music preferred] and may be asked to read and dance. Adult cast members who wish to be in the Chorus only will not be required to audition, just sign up.)

NOTE: If you plan on being a part of Follies, I say go for it!  However, you have made the commitment to Camelot and your fellow cast members.  If any conflicts arise, I would expect Camelot to be given first priority.  Please talk to me if you have any questions about this.

Last night was great!  You guys blew me away.  I can tell you've been working outside of rehearsal and that is crucial and much appreciated.  I urge you to read your scripts.  We are a small but mighty ensemble and you all have to work together to tell this story.

We will keep drilling these songs when John is away but I would advise you to start memorizing because they are only going to get harder when we start adding in choreography.  I work slightly differently as I want you to memorize as we go.

Just wanted to take the time to thank everyone that helped this weekend....

First, Mike Green - I couldn't pull this off without you and you've been great working out all of the technical things that don't make sense in my mind.  It's already looking amazing

To Scott, thanks for the use of the space.  Your expertise in helping us plan and execute has been much needed.

Some Info...

1. We've been working on the set so secure/closed toe shoes are best.  There may be screws or nails in the acting space as we go along because we are building in the same area and I want everyone to keep their feet protected.  Especially when we get into blocking and choreography...flip flops won't do.

2. *this is completely optional*  John has opened his studio to the cast.  John teaches private lessons in Crawfordsville (25 min from Milk Building).  If anyone would like to meet with him to go over their music he's offered a discounted price of 45 minutes for $20 bucks.  After this week simply call him and set up a time that works for you. (outside of rehearsal time, that is)  765-307-8396.

3. We are selling advertising space in our programs to off set the costs of the production.  I'm asking each cast member to sell at LEAST one ad space.  We're still getting the prices and paperwork all sorted out but I wanted to give you the heads up so that you could start asking or thinking of people you would like to ask.

Great 1st Rehearsal

You guys blew me away tonight!  Great job.  It's going to be a lot of work but it will all be worth it.

Some things that were covered last night:

1. Handed out scripts, scores, soundtracks.  All materials (except the cds) must be returned.  The TAMS scripts must only be written in pencil and must be erased before you return them.  If they are lost or severely damaged you must pay $20 to replace it.

2. It's hot.  Bring water.  It's a lot of music thrown at you all at once so bring recording devices and a mindset to stay focused and work hard.

3. Bios due No LATER than Sept. 3

That's all I have for now.  I'm just so glad to be working with all of you.
